01.07.-17.08.2024 OLDFIELD LANE NORTH: Greenford: ROUTE 105 is disrupted until 17 August 2024 at 20:00, due to roadworks near Greenford station. For buses towards Heathrow, the first stop served is "Greenford Station" on Oldfield Lane North (stop MM), because the usual first bus stop on Rockware Avenue is closed. For buses terminating at Greenford Station, the last stop will be on Greenford Road, as buses are unable to serve the usual last stop "Greenford Station" (Stop Z1) on Rockware Avenue opposite the pub.

01.-13.07.2024 Overnight Road Closure – A390 St Blazey 1 to 13 July 2024

Due to resurfacing works there will overnight weekday closures between 1900 and 0400 on the A390 at St Blazey.  During the closure Go-Cornwall services 24E and 25 will operate under diversion from the Four Lords via Trenovissick Road and Par Lane Roundabout.

30.06.-13.07.2024 Overnight Road Closure – A393 Lanner 30 June to 13 July 2024

There will be overnight closures from 1900 on weekday nights between the 30 June and the 13 June on the A393 through Lanner.  During the closure buses will operate under diversion.

Go-Cornwall Service 40: Will not serve Sandy Lane or Lanner diverting via St Day Road into Redruth.

First Buses Service U2:  Will operate under diversion and not serve Laner.  Please confirm diversion details with the operator.

Due to utility works the road between Penmarth and Carnkie will be closed between the 27 June and 11 August.  During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 36 to Helston School will operate under diversion via the main road and will be unable to serve Penmarth.  Students are advised to catch the bus at the Gravel Pits or Crellow Lane.

The B3277 at Chiverton will be closed between the 24 June and the 12 July.  During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 88 will be unable to serve Blackwater diverting via the A30.  First Buses services U1A and U1E will, in both directions, operate under diversion via Blackwater and the A30 which will cause delays to the service.  Hopleys service 304 will also operate under diversion which could cause delays.  

24.06.-13.07.2024 B*8 & 9 DIVERSION Between the A326 Bypass and Jacobs Gutter Lane From Monday 24th June to 12 July 2024 between 1900-0600 weekdays only A326 will be closed between Rushington Roundabout and Jacobs Gutter Lane. These works are expected to be finished by 13th July 2024. Diversion from City towards Hythe via:- normal route to Rushington roundabout, straight ahead along the A35 to roundabout and exit onto the A326 bypass. At the next roundabout U-turn staying on the bypass to Staplewood Lane & normal route.  Diversion from Hythe towards City via:- normal route to Tavells Lane. At Pooksgreen crossroads, ahead and left towards Applemoor on the A326. UTurn at the roundabout back along the A326 and follow the normal B*9 route to Rushington roundabout to normal route.

21.05.-26.07.2024 Finchampstead Road closure, until late July, service 406

 As part of the California Crossroads redevelopment, Stagecoach are unable to serve the bus stop at the Ratepayers Hall. Phase 2 of the closure is due on 23rd May, when Stagecoach we will be unable to serve Finchampstead Road between California Crossroads and Finchampstead War Memorial. Students for Yateley School and the colleges in Farnborough are advised that from 23rd May, and for the remainder of the summer term, the bus will start at the Barkham Ride bus stop on Finchampstead Road at 07:33. The bus will run non-stop via Finchampstead Road, Sandhurst Road, Lower Wokingham Road and Wellingtonia Avenue to rejoin the normal route at Finchampstead War Memorial. The reverse of this diversion will apply in the afternoon.

09.05.-30.07.2024 Road Closure – Nine Maidens to Penmarth 7 May to 30 July 2024

The road between Nine Maidens and Penmarth is currently closed.  OTS service 42 is diverting between Goonlaze and Nine Maidens.  From Falmouth at Goonlaze buses are operating to Wheal Buller, then via the B3297 to Four Lanes and Nine Maidens where the bus turns to rejoin the normal route to Four Lanes. Towards Truro the reverse is operating.  During the closure buses are unable to serve Penmarth.

At the moment there is no temporary bus stop.  
19.03.-31.10.2024 CROMWELL ROAD BUS STATION: Routes 281 371 K5 N65 and 671 towards Tolworth / North Sheen / Ham / Chessington are disrupted until Thursday 31 October, due to long-term works at Cromwell Road Bus Station. Buses are not serving the usual stop "Cromwell Road Bus Station" (A1) on Cromwell Road. Please use the nearby stop (PW). Buses will pick up passengers from here instead.

Service 51: from Thursday 14th March until late July 2024 – works for Wessex Water between North Curry and Stoke Road.

Owing to works being undertaken by Wessex Water from Thursday 14th March until late July 2024, there is disruption to Service 51.
Phase 1 which starts on Thursday 14th March, and lasts until Friday 3rd May, will see the closure of Stoke Road between its junction with the Curload turn and the junction with Huntham Lane.
The bus will not be able to serve the section of the route that is closed and the bus will follow a diversion via Huntham Lane in both directions on all journeys, Monday to Saturday, throughout Phase 1.
Phase 2 and Phase 3 information will follow, however we have been advised by Wessex Water that the planned requirement for an additional bus will no longer be required as Huntham Lane remains open throughout all three phases of the works. The maximum Adult single fare is £2 on most local bus services until 31st December 2024. School and college buses, coach services (including Falcon, Oxford Tube and airport services), Sightseeing Tours and Night Buses are excluded.
24.10.2023-31.12.2024 Alton Farmers Markets - 2nd Saturday of the Month

To close part of The High Street, Alton from the junction at the entrance to Lady Place car park to junction with Turk Street and Cross and Pillory Lane, including Market Square, between the 0600 hours and 1600 hours for the second Saturday in each month during 2023/2024 - being  11 November and 9 December 2023. 13 January, 10 February, 9 March, 13 April, 11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14 September, 12 October, 9 November and 14 December 2024.

11.09.2023-01.12.2024 LIVERPOOL STREET UNDERGROUND STATION: From Monday 11 September until autumn 2024, there is a reduced escalator service to/from the Central line platforms. The bank of three escalators at the front end of the eastbound/rear end of the westbound platforms will be out of service while they are replaced. Please use alternative escalators at the other end of the platforms to exit and interchange
10.09.2023-29.12.2024 Waterloo & City line: Service operates Monday to Friday between 06:00 and 00:30 only. There is no service on Saturdays, Sundays and on public/bank holidays.
30.08.2023-31.10.2024 Botley Road Rail Bridge Closure Network Rail are working towards replacing the Botley Road rail overbridge. As a consequence the Botley Road in Oxford City Centre is closed to all vehiclular traffic, initially for 6 months but recently extended until the end of October 2024. A few bus services will divert via the Abingdon Road and the A34 but most services will be truncated.  The terminus on the eastern side of the bridge will be the Rail Station or Frideswide Square, the terminus on the western side will be Osney Island.  For people less-abled to make the 350 metre walk between these stops a free shuttle bus will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, hourly between 10 AM and 2 PM. Pick-up and set-down points are the West Oxford Community Centre, Seacourt Bridge (both on Botley Road) and Frideswide Square. Called the Botley Road Flyer it will be operated by Comet.
30.08.2023-31.10.2024 Botley Road Rail Bridge (truncation) While the Botley Road is closed due to Network Rail bridge works, Stagecoach service S1 will divert between Eynsham and Oxford via the A40 and Woodstock Road.  While this is the case a shuttle service E1 will serve Eynsham to Oxford (Osney Island) via Farmoor and Botley. Services S6 and S9 will use the Osney Island stops as their terminus. This closure has been extended until October 2024.
30.08.2023-31.10.2024 Botley Road Rail Bridge (truncation) While Network Rail bridge works keep the Botley Road closed the following services will use Osney Island as their terminus:

  • Thames Travel 33, 63, 63S
To access the rail station and City Centre from Osney Island a pedestran route through the bridge area will be maintained (approx. 350 metres).  This arrangement has been extended until October 2024.
30.08.2023-31.10.2024 Botley Road Rail Bridge (split service) The BrookesBUS / Park & Ride service 400 (U1) and NU1 will be split at the rail station (Frideswide Square) and Osney Island (on Botley Road) due to bridge works. There will be separate branches (East/West) of this service operating trhought the closure period. Through ticketing is available.  Pedestrians will be able to access the route through the bridge throughout the closure period.  This arrangement has been extended until October 2024.

Route 281, towards Tolworth, Route 671, towards Chessington South and Night Bus Route N65 towards Chessington will also serve this stop.
28.08.2023-01.09.2024 Cromwell Road Bus Station closure from Monday 28 August until Summer 2024: Route 85, towards Putney Bridge, Route K2, towards Kingston Hospital, Route K3, towards Roehampton Vale, Route K5, towards Morden, Route N87, towards Aldwych and Route SL7, towards West Croydon, serve a new stop RC in Cromwell Road, east of the bus station.

28.08.2023-01.09.2024 Changes to Surrey bus routes during the rebuilding of Cromwell Road Bus Station, Kingston: From Monday 28 August until Summer 2024. Routes 458 513 514 515 and 715 start and terminate in Eden Street. All buses on these routes from Kingston start from stop D1 in Eden Street. Route 461 terminates at Wood Street stop N and starts journeys at Wood Street stop Q.

26.06.2023-30.09.2024 KENTISH TOWN UNDERGROUND STATION: The station will closed until late Summer to enable vital work to be carried out to replace the escalators. Kentish Town Thameslink station will remain open for customers to use while the escalator replacement works are taking place. Nearby Tufnell Park Tube station is accessible by using the extensive local bus network or from Kentish Town station on foot (11 minutes). There is no major work planned on these alternative routes during the closure of the Tube station.
22.06.2023-29.09.2024 HACKNEY DOWNS STATION: Step-free access to platform 1 (served by Chingford to Liverpool Street and southbound Greater Anglia trains via Tottenham Hale) is available but only via the interchange and lift link to/from Hackney Central station. Please enter and exit via this route. Step-free access is not available to/from other platforms or to/from the main entrance at Hackney Downs.
09.05.2023-01.12.2024 HOLLOWAY ROAD STATION: From Tuesday 9 May until November 2024: Reduced lift service at Holloway Road until mid-July, queuing likely during peaks. Please consider using Arsenal or Caledonian Road stations. During Emirates Stadium events, Holloway Road will be closed for two hours before the start of the event and will open 15 minutes after the start of the event. During return traffic the station will be closed 15 minutes before the end of the event and will be kept closed for 90 minutes after the event.
