| 17.02.-21.04.2025 | Closure of Stanmore Lane affecting Winchester to Eastleigh & other changes to service 61 | From Monday 17th February until approximately Sunday 9th March the section of Stanmore Lane from Romsey Road as far as Minden Way will be closed for Southern Gas Networks to replace the gas mains. This will affect the Winchester to Eastleigh service 61 which will not be able to serve Stanmore or St Cross as a result. Buses will remain on Romsey Road and will use Badger Farm Road to resume normal route at Bushfield Roundabout. Buses towards Winchester will follow the same diversion in reverse. Additionally, Stagecoach have been experiencing some issues using New Road in Colden Common for a few weeks. In order to provide consistency for users, whilst Southern Gas Networks continue their works, buses on service 61 will use the 69 route along Main Road and Spring Lane until the works are completed, which is currently scheduled to be by the 22nd April. Stops in New Road and Lower Moors Road will not be served during these works. |

The terminus on the eastern side of the bridge will be the Rail Station or Frideswide Square, the terminus on the western side will be Osney Island. For people less-abled to make the 350 metre walk between these stops a free shuttle bus will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, hourly between 10 AM and 2 PM. Pick-up and set-down points are the West Oxford Community Centre, Seacourt Bridge (both on Botley Road) and Frideswide Square. Called the Botley Road Flyer it will be operated by Comet. |

There will be separate branches (East/West) of this service operating trhought the closure period. Through ticketing is available. Pedestrians will be able to access the route through the bridge throughout the closure period. This arrangement has been extended until October 2024. |
